HOW DOES THE gospel of Jesus Christ work in a person’s life…?
Consider:
Hearing the gospel destroys the INTEREST in sin (Rom. 10:17).
Believing the gospel destroys the PLEASURE of sin (Mark 16:15-16; John 8:24; Acts 16:31).
Repenting destroys the PRACTICE of sin (Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38; 2 Pet. 3:9).
Confessing destroys the ALLEGIANCE to sin (Mat. 10:32; Rom. 10:9, 10).
Immersion destroys the GUILT of sin (Acts 2:38; 22:16).
The apostle Paul said, “I declare to you THE GOSPEL which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand BY WHICH ALSO YOU ARE SAVED…” (1 Cor. 15:1-2).
Good reader, have you obeyed the saving gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:17-18; 3-4; 2 Thes. 1:7-9)?
