CHARLES HARVEY WAS on his way to an important job interview when he noticed a middle-aged woman on the side of the road with a flat tire.
Running late and in a hurry, Mr. Harvey stopped anyway and changed the lady’s tire.
“My conscience made me stop,” he said.
When he was finished, Mr. Harvey drove on to the Personnel Director’s office and submitted his job application despite that fact that he was nearly an hour late.
To his surprise, the Personnel Director turned out to be the very same woman whose tire he had just changed!
And yes, he got the job!
The Bible says, “Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all…” (Gal. 6:10a).
Dear Christian, when was the last time you stopped and helped someone in need (cf. Jas. 4:17; Luke 10:29-37)?
