FIVE-YEAR-OLD Stephen was practicing his memory verse for Bible class.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only forgotten Son…”
My wife laughed as she related the story, and so did I.
Perhaps Stephen’s slip is all too true.
Jesus is ignored, if not forgotten by the world.
Even we Christians leave jesus on the shelf until we can’t handle things ourselves.
In spite of this, God loved the world so much that He sent His Son knowing that He would be ignored, forgotten, put aside, and abused.
What love God has for us!
