MANY YEARS AGO a little girl walked with her daddy to a local denominational church one Sunday morning…
The following weekend she went with her momma to a different denominational church.
Again, the third Sunday the little girl walked with her daddy back to the church where he attended.
As the two walked together, the daughter asked, “Daddy, does God always do things for our good?”
“Of course He does, Sweetheart,” Daddy replied.
“And Daddy, is God all-wise?”
“Yes,” he said.
Then with tears welling up in her eyes she asked, “If God always does things for our good, and if He is all-wise, then why didn’t He just make one church so that you, me, and momma can worship together?”
Good reader, the truth is, God did make just one church.
He is not responsible for the religious division that is all too evident today.
Ephesians 4:4 says: “There is ONE BODY and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling.”
and Ephesians 1:22-23 says: “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things TO THE CHURCH, WHICH IS HIS BODY, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”
Think about it.
